Nintendo has been relatively silent on the rumored NX console since they said they would not be revealing it at E3. Last night they announced on twitter that a preview trailer would be coming this morning and we would finally know what the console was like. I'll admit it: as a long time Nintendo fan, it is getting increasingly hard to support the seemingly out of touch company. Every day it seems like more bad news comes out of Nintendo. This year's Wii U and 3DS lineup was already thin, but with the recent announcement that Zelda Wii U was being pushed into 2017 and being simultaneously released on the NX, it seems the Wii U's days are numbered. In addition to that disappointing piece of news, Nintendo also confirmed it would only be bringing that ONE game to the biggest gaming convention of the year: E3. It also confirmed that the NX would not be at the show.
“Music is all around us; we hear it on TV, in movies, on the radio, and even in the sounds of nature. Music impacts us and it shapes us. Music can be an escape from the harsh realities of life. Music is emotional, raw, energetic, but most importantly, music is powerful. Music is used to set a mood, to influence our emotions, and to truly bring us into the lives of others. Video Game music does this in a way that fully captures our emotions and invests us in the plight of our characters. In a game, Music is as vital as the visuals themselves, and while we may not always notice it when it’s there, we feel the loss of it when it’s gone.
One of the most fascinating things to watch as a gamer is the phenomenon of Speedrunning. For those of you who don't know, Speedrunning is exactly what it sounds like; playing a game as fast as possible, usually by exploiting glitches or playing the game to perfection. Twice a year GameDemosArchive and Speedrunslive put on a charity speedrunning marathon to Doctors Without Border and Prevent Cancer Foundation.
