Nintendo has been relatively silent on the rumored NX console since they said they would not be revealing it at E3. Last night they announced on twitter that a preview trailer would be coming this morning and we would finally know what the console was like. Rumors that the console was a TV/mobile hybrid were confirmed, along with the name, Nintendo Switch.

Mario Kart 8's second DLC pack, which features an Animal Crossing stage, remade stages from past games, two Animal Crossing characters, Dry Bones Bowser, and four new karts, is available now. Along with this DLC, a free update featuring 200 CC difficulty released today as well as more Amiibo costumes for your Mii characters
The Game Awards was a new direction for Video Game award shows, one that felt largely successful. New games were shown off, old games were given new trailers, and indies ruled the night. The awards were mostly treated with the respect that the medium has earned. The live performances were welcome additions to break up the constant influx of gaming news. It was only a matter of time until Nintendo introduced other series to its landmark kart racer, but thankfully they do so in wondrous fashion. Nintendo has been supporting most of its big Wii U titles with post-release DLC, and Mario Kart 8 is no exception. Released today for $7.99, Mario Kart 8’s DLC pack 1 adds several new characters, karts, and most importantly, tracks. However the biggest inclusion to Mario Kart 8 is the character of Link and his Master Cycle, as well as the Hyrule Circuit track.

Nintendo has revealed its six month financial standings for their fiscal year, and things are certainly looking up for the company, despite an operating loss of $1.99 million dollars. It is important to know that Nintendo's current fiscal year beings April 1st, 2014 and ends March 31st, 2015.
Link, one of the newest DLC characters in Mario Kart 8, has his own ride and it packs a lot of horsepower.
