Bungie shows off the newest expansion for the most talked about game of this generation.
First came the leak, and then came the confirmation on when we will see Destiny's upcoming expansion.
Bungie and Activision had big news to share about the future of Destiny today.
If there is one thing that Halo 5: Guardians makes perfectly clear it’s that 343 Industries is not Bungie. 343 demonstrates its willingness to craft its own game, rather than ride on the coattails of Bungie. The story and gameplay both make bold choices that usually payoff. There is certainly a lot of risk in fundamentally changing a game, and while some elements fall flat, the game as a whole is great. Halo 5’s true achievement is showing that 343 is quite capable of crafting its own vision for the world of everyone’s favorite Spartan.
If the disappointing loot drops drove you away from the weekly strikes, you may want to reconsider after the changes Bungie made.
With the release of Destiny's massive 17 GB update earlier this week, lots of fixes, content updates, and improvements were implemented. However, Bungie warns that some bugs are still hanging around.
This year's three most troubled games have all received patches in the last two days. Several months after the games' released, the developers are still attempting to resolve the many issues that plague them.
The Game Awards was a new direction for Video Game award shows, one that felt largely successful. New games were shown off, old games were given new trailers, and indies ruled the night. The awards were mostly treated with the respect that the medium has earned. The live performances were welcome additions to break up the constant influx of gaming news.
