First Times: Dishonored

As it may be evident with other games in the "First Times" series, I have a mission to go out of my way to play specific games that people talk about for years. But Dishonored was a different story.

See, I woke up hearing the fantastic news that Skate 3 finally joined the list of backwards compatible games on the Xbox One and with that still ringing through my ears I purchased it and watched as it began to download. Growing impatient I booted up Dishonored: Definitive Edition with the intention of playing until Skate 3 finished.

Welcome the Nintendo Switch in March 2017

Nintendo has been relatively silent on the rumored NX console since they said they would not be revealing it at E3. Last night they announced on twitter that a preview trailer would be coming this morning and we would finally know what the console was like. Rumors that the console was a TV/mobile hybrid were confirmed, along with the name, Nintendo Switch.

Opinion: I’m Not Buying What VR is Selling

E3 2016 was a big one for many reasons, but Virtual Reality was pushed harder than anything else. From Bethesda, to Ubisoft, to Oculus, and especially Sony, VR had a heavy presence at the show. This was the big shot for many of these companies to sell VR and make everyone excited for this new concept, but for me, I'm definitely not buying it.

Interestingly enough, during the Sony press conference I was getting excited for VR. Batman, Final Fantasy XV, Star Wars, Farpoint, and Resident Evil VII all seemed like big things that I would really enjoy. I was almost being sold on the idea, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that VR underwhelmed this year.
