With a long history in Video games and the IT industry me and my wife decided that gaming news and media was a business we wanted to get into. Both of us have a love for different genres of games which provides a wonderful diverse library of games varying from Final Fantasy to Resident Evil.

My passion for gaming was ignited in 1999 by a little-known RPG for the original PlayStation called Legend of Legaia. Don’t get me wrong, I had enjoyed some games before then and I loved watching my dad play through Resident Evil 2 and Metal Gear Solid. They were a fun way to pass the time, but nothing more… Until I set foot in the world of Legaia. That title showed me that games could provide expansive worlds filled with people to interact with and secrets to uncover, that they could feel real and lived in, and that they could stir up my emotions and dare me to dream. Ultimately, Legaia showed me that video games were the medium for me, and I’ve been devoting my life to them ever since. Because of that transformative experience I believe that games have the potential to affect our lives and to change us for the better. At the end of the day, that is exactly what APG is all about. Everyone is welcome here. We don’t care about your platform of choice, your race, your gender, etc. We are all here plugging away at our passion project because we love games as much as you do. If you want to talk about vidjagammies or anything else, you can find me on Twitter: @ShaneEDent.

I present a statement and a supporting argument. The MMO platform is the highest form of gaming today. I remember the first time I played online with a little known game called Duke Nukem. I know that’s kind of out of the wheelhouse of the average gamer but what can I say, I’m a gaming hipster. Sure, I played a lot of games dating back to the Sega Master System, but I never experienced the unbridled joy that came with the intensity of playing against something that wasn’t predictable AI. Since then I’ve come to realize that I am horrible at first person shooters. The genre as a whole has merit, however with me behind the sticks it is a plethora of respawning and, “Where in the world did that come from?” Although I was that guy who brought your team down, I couldn’t put down that feeling of cooperative online play. The first time I tried World of Warcraft over a decade ago I was blown away by the sheer size of the world. I loved the story, I loved the game style, I loved the music, I loved the world, and after the initial dungeon run I was hooked for life. Video games are my passion and I love nothing more than talking about them. You can follow me on Twitter @30andSuppressed and I’m always monitoring the APG YouTube page.

When I was born I was granted the magical gift of playing video games magnificently and writing majestically, put those together and here I am writing articles for APG and I love it. I’ve been playing games for years and I’ve come to like a good amount of them as well as dislike a few. I play a wide range of genres but I also have a few gaming holes I hope to fill in the future(basically everything Nintendo related and MMOs). I hope you all will like the content I put up whether it is news related or original content. When I’m not working on the site I’m usually buried in schoolwork or listening to either a Persona OST or the Sonic Generations OST, some top notch tunes there btw. I As far as my favorite games go I have a hard time thinking of a top 10, if anything I can give you a top 5 that can help you see where my interests in games lie. Persona 4/Golden Sonic Adventure 2/Battle Pokémon Silver Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped Dead Space 2 I’m excited to be writing for APG, it’s like a dream come true to me. Also if any of our readers are Persona fans please, please, please let me know. You can follow me on Twitter @Sym_ba13 if you want.

Christmas of 1999 was one of the most important days of my life. That was the day that I got my Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow. I remember the feeling I got when I was only 4 years old and discovering this wonderful world of Pokemon. A door was opened for me that day. An SNES soon followed as well as a Nintendo 64, but it wasn't until the PS2 that I truly became enraptured by the world of gaming. I began to branch out of Nintendo games and simple platformers and soon discovered thousands of journeys waiting to be had. I've played hundreds of the great games from every era and genre. From Super Mario to Final Fantasy, from Mass Effect to Assassin’s Creed, from The Legend of Zelda to Halo. Gaming isn't the only thing that I love though. I adore writing about games, but it's not just writing: it's analyzing and criticizing them that really excites me. Digging into the worlds and characters of my favorite universes is as much a passion as playing the games. I began writing for fanfiction.net and fictionpress.net many years ago, but eventually found my way to blog writing on Gameinformer.com. After finding great success there, I’ve brought my passion for writing to APG.

I've known for my entire life I wanted to be a writer. Thing was, I never thought about combining that passion with my absolute love for video games until very, very recently. Turns out, I love it. I've loved gaming ever since my grandfather showed off his NES and golden Legend of Zelda cartridge when I was the ripe age of 5. From that point on, I was hooked. I've had my hands on every single console/handheld since the GameCube and played games in almost every single genre. If I may be sappy here for a moment, video games have changed my life. Even though I have given countless hours to them, I would give any of it back. It's been my entertainment, and sometimes my sanctuary ever since I was very young. If you are at all curious what my tastes are like, my top five series are Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, Mass Effect, and Silent Hill. I'm very grateful for the opportunity I have here at APG, and I'm very excited to take ideas I've always wanted to write about and make them a reality. If you want to see any of my dumb opinions on really anything, you can follow me on Twitter at @ComicGamerGuy.

Gaming has been prevalent throughout my whole life: my parents first met in an arcade, my first console was a hand-me-down Playstation from my brother when I was three years old, my fondest memories as a child include playing the Simpsons arcade game at Cici’s Pizza. I started out mostly playing sports games on my PS1 (also, the PS2 Madden era was amazing) and played games like Crash Team Racing and eventually Rock Band and 007: Agent Under Fire (a super underrated shooter) with my sister. I became a more serious gamer with releases like Jak 3, Ratchet Deadlocked, and other late PS2 titles that began to suck up all my time. As I reached the generation of online gaming with the purchase of my PS3, my love for the industry really grew. Call of Duty: Black Ops was my first and best foray into the online gaming space and games like Ultimax and Skyrim helped solidify gaming as more than just a hobby but an integral part of my life. My favorite game of all time is Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and some of my favorite series include Metal Gear Solid, Persona, and Ratchet & Clank. Thanks to gaming, I was able to meet fellow co-worker Symmion Moore (he’s an alright guy) and he helped opened the door for me here at AllPlatformGaming. I’m excited to work here at APG, both writing and on the podcast, and can’t wait to see where the gaming industry goes next.
