First came the leak, and then came the confirmation on when we will see Destiny's upcoming expansion.
The news first appeared on the Official Destiny website (which has since been taken down), stating the Rise of Iron will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 September 20 of this year. The interesting thing to note, is there is no mention of last generation consoles. It's possible the expansion won't be available to them.
According to GameInformer, even more information about the expansion was linked on the Singapore version of Xbox.com. For example, you will need the base Destiny game and the last expansion, The Taken King, in order to utilize the expansion.
Here is a full list of all the new things you can expect in Rise of Iron:
- New Story Campaign and Quests
- New Armor and Gear
- New Weapons
- New Raid
- Maximum Light Increase
- New Strike
- New Plaugeland Zones and Social Space
- New Crucible Mode and Maps
- New Enemy Faction and Bosses
To get specific details on the game, you will have to tune into livestream happening tomorrow, June 9.
