It is rare to see such a large studio with so many established AAA IP's take a shot on a brand new IP and concept... unless that studio is Ubisoft. Ubisoft is one of the few studios that still likes to try out a new IP virtually every year. For Honor is a very interesting game; its core concept is so strong, and when it puts you in certain situations it is truly a new exciting combat system that I've never seen; however, most of the time the game doesn't put you in those situations and ends up in the areas of mediocrity far too often.

During Nintendo's Switch Press Event, they announced both release date and pricing for their new home/mobile console hybrid. The system will release worldwide on March 3, 2017 and will cost you $299.99 USD.
Nintendo has been relatively silent on the rumored NX console since they said they would not be revealing it at E3. Last night they announced on twitter that a preview trailer would be coming this morning and we would finally know what the console was like. Rumors that the console was a TV/mobile hybrid were confirmed, along with the name, Nintendo Switch.
E3 2016 was a big one for many reasons, but Virtual Reality was pushed harder than anything else. From Bethesda, to Ubisoft, to Oculus, and especially Sony, VR had a heavy presence at the show. This was the big shot for many of these companies to sell VR and make everyone excited for this new concept, but for me, I'm definitely not buying it.
Interestingly enough, during the Sony press conference I was getting excited for VR. Batman, Final Fantasy XV, Star Wars, Farpoint, and Resident Evil VII all seemed like big things that I would really enjoy. I was almost being sold on the idea, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that VR underwhelmed this year.
Yesterday, IGN and Gamespot both showed off-screen gameplay footage of Persona 5. This morning Atlus Japan hosted a Persona livestream where they showed this footage directly and there is a ton to dissect. They also released a trailer later in the day that you can find below.
Nintendo's hotly anticipated mobile game, Pokemon Go, should be coming to your phones by the end of July.
Insomniac Games unveiled a trailer for a brand new Spider-Man game exclusively for Playstation 4 during the press conference tonight.
The new South Park game, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, looks incredible and Ubisoft gave fans a ton of new information thanks to Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
Ubisoft's Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and Trials HD are two of their more critically acclaimed games. Today, Ubisoft combined the two into one zany game called Trails of the Blood Dragon. What's better is that you can play it right now!
As usual, Ubisoft announced a new IP to close out their conference, but unusually it wasn't a shooter or action game, but rather an open-world sports game called Steep.
